Joel Herbert Parsons (1908-1959) and his wife, Oneita Montgomery Parsons (1909-1997) reared their two sons in their West Tennessee home of Somerville. Dr. Lynn Parsons is the oldest and is currently a respected surgeon living in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Dr. Jerry Parsons is a prominent horticulturist, professor and extension specialist with the Texas A & M University System living in San Antonio, Texas.
